This Peruvian coffee is produced by a group of small-scale farmers in the Chanchamayo district. The La Florida Cooperative was established in this region to help introduce environmentally-friendly methods and practices for producing world-renown coffees, as well as to use revenue from their fair trade arrangements to provide local education, infrastructure, and credit. Roasted to a modern roast profile (in the range of a city roast) to emphasize the distinctiveness of this coffee.
